Prolonged Release has a delivery system that releases Niacin steadily, reducing risk of flushing, where blood vessels near the skin expand, giving a flushed appearance. This is harmless, and shows that the Niacin is working.

Suggested Use
Take 1 tablet, one time daily, with a meal. Best taken at the largest meal of the day to avoid flushing.
Do not overdose.
Do not take on an empty stomach.

Other Ingredients
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, cellulose, stearic acid, maltodextrin. Contains <2% of: Magnesium stearate, peg, polysorbate polyvinyl alcohol, silicon dioxide, dioxide Talc. No added sugar, yeast, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.

Do not take Niacin if already taking statin drugs as this can aggravate muscle breakdown caused by statins.
Do not take niacin if you have severe liver disease, stomach ulcer or bleeding.
Avoid avoid taking colestipol (Colestid) or cholestyamine (Locholest, Prevalite, Questran) when taking niacin, or take them 4 to 6 hours before taking niacin.
Niacin can interfere with urine test results. Advise the testing person.
High doses may cause liver problems and/or muscle pain in some people.
May aggravate those with Gout.
