Iron is an important component of haemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen from the lungs to all tissues of the body. Iron promotes normal red blood cell production and supports energy utilization. This formulation provides an advanced, patented form of iron which is gentle on the stomach, unlike prescription iron which is notorious for causing constipation.
Do not self-diagnose and do not overdose!
Iron is essential, but too much can be very harmful.

Suggested Use
As a dietary supplement for adults, take one tablet daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
For maximum absorption, take Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) at the same time, or consume vitamin C-rich foods.
Iron supplementation should always be carried out with guidance from a healthcare professional, as too much or too little causes problems.
Doctors normally prescribe Ferrous Sulfate, Ferrous Gluconate or Ferrous Fumarate and these can have varying amounts of elemental iron, typically 50mg to 200mg daily, often causing stomach upset, constipation or other side-effects.
Ferrous Fumarate in particular is an industrial mineral, not found in nature, but a byproduct of iron mining, with has side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, blackened stools, tooth discoloration, anorexia, ulceration of the GI tract, chronic inflammatory diseases, cancer, diabetes, liver and heart disease. You will even find this in some children's vitamins (e.g. "Flintstones").
LeanMachine recommends a more gentle approach using this product. Supplementation should restore basic iron levels in around 2 months or more, depending on the level of anemia, but in many cases requires a year of supplementation to rebuild stores in bone marrow, liver, spleen and other areas of the body. Iron is a complex subject and doctors are often eager to diagnose iron deficiency anemia when there can be many other causes of anemia.
Low iron levels can be caused by genetics, too many blood donations, internal bleeding, heavy periods, vegan or vegetarian diets, insufficient vitamin C, etc. High iron levels can be caused by genetics, too many blood transfusions and many other causes.
All cases of anaemia or low RBC (red blood cell count) should be monitored by your doctor and ferritin studies carried out every 3 months.
Never overdose, as too much iron can be as damaging as too little.

Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under six. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
If a dose is missed, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but if it is almost time to take next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next regularly scheduled dose as directed. Do not take a double dose.
If any overdose has occurred, seek emergency medical attention.
